NZZ FORMAT is the television department of the renowned Swiss daily newspaper NEUE ZÜRCHER ZEITUNG. NZZ FORMAT has been producing state-of-the art reports about science, medicine and technology for VOX from the start of the station in 1993. Social topics and lifestyle themes as well as international subjects are also covered. More than half the material is produced outside of Switzerland. Wolfgang Frei is head of the the NZZ FORMAT department. Christian Dettwiler is editor-in-chief and Tobias Wolff is responsible for finances and sales. NZZ FORMAT has set up a network of freelance television authors. The cooperation with different NZZ departments and with NZZ-FOLIO makes synergies possible for political, economic and social topics.
